Ministry Leader(s)

- this person or people will lead that particular ministry for one year (January-December). If duties become too much, that
person is allowed the opportunity to step down, after a conference with Pastor Shambray. There will be quarterly meetings/updates with each
ministry to receive the latest amendments, ideas and discuss the flow and function of that ministry. Printable list of Duties are posted in attached downloads below.

“Help-me” to ministers and church members, at large, welcome new members 

 

Deacons- Walter Rowser, Sr. 

Ordained/Biblical business people of the church 

 

Deaconess- Sharron Rowser 

Facilitators of communion, aides to deacons, and church at large 

 

Trustees- Lenell Keller, Louretta Calhoun, Yvette Shambray 

Business/logistical overseers of the church 

 

Church Secretary/Historian- Sharron Rowser 

Keeper of all records: church meetings, new members, notes from meetings/business of the church (for each church member and general church collection of archives) 

 

Financial Recorder- April Keller 

Responsible for weekly financial collections/reports for/to church and individual members 

 

Pastor’s Personal Secretary- Dorothy Slaughter 

Keeper of all notes, agendas, plans, and records for the Pastor. 

 

Ushers- Ellen Jackson 

Responsible for training, setting schedules of all ushers and accommodations for the well being of services 

 

Hospitality- Tony Keller, Virginia Davis, & Jazlynn Stearnes 

Responsible in making sure that all visitors are comfortable, as well as members, intake of new members (Prayer Request Forms and Visitor cards)

 

 By-Law Committee- Pastor, James Woodall (Leader), Dorothy Slaughter, David O’Neal, Loretta Calhoun, April Keller (Secretary), & Walter Rowser, Sr. 

Responsible for dedicating and selecting how we go beyond boundaries to help serve others (saved and unsaved)

To assist the pastor in need

 

Youth- Jonathan Slaughter & Ellen Jackson  

To oversee all youth activities

 

Youth Ambassadors- Armari Woodall 

To be foreman of MCMBC, helping to engage their generation, with their ideas 

 

Young Adults- April Kelley & Ashley Woodall 

To oversee all young adult activities 

 

Seasoned Saints- Sis. Rebecca Payne & Bro. Willie L. Davis 

To oversee all seasoned saints activities 

 

Media/Audio Deacon Marlon (Justin & Sidney) Keller Responsible for production, equipment and maintenance of all media/audio needs

 

Music- Jonathan & Dennis Slaughter 

To rehearse, select, guide for each service 

 

Sick &/or Shut In/ Grievance- Dorothy Slaughter 

To accommodate an accurate list of those who may be sick/and/or shut in. To also keep an accurate address/contact info, and send correspondence. Accommodate those who have experienced death in the family or close. 

 

Decor- Shaniqua McCluney 

To supply the church with in-season decor (internally and externally)

 

Recovery- Shirley Graves 

This ministry will focus on members who are currently, past, or future use of substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, mental health) 

 

Warranties/ Watchman- David O’Neal 

This person is responsible for the discussion, review, update and legalities of any maintenance work needed, and/or warranties 

 

Parking Lot- Billy Ferguson & Ben Jackson 

These people will be responsible for the safety of our parking lot, by assisting members in where to park, flow of traffic, direction of traffic, assistance of elderly or disabled. Guidance into sanctuary, etc

 

 Armor Bearers- Armari, Sebastian, Nicholas 

Assistant to Pastor 

 

Landscape- James Woodall, Jr. 

Responsible for landscaping 

 

Photography- Justin Keller 

Works with media ministry by taking, editing, uploading and outsourcing photos 

 

Health- Dr. Adrienne Shambray and Shirley Graves 

Responsible for keeping us healthy and assisting in case of medical needs. 

 

Kitchen- Sharron Rowser & Marlon Keller 

Responsible for the upkeep of the kitchen, menus, etc. 

 

Ladies of Virtuous EVERYTHING (LOVE)- Yvette Shambray

 Women’s department 

 

Men Engaging Now (MEN)- Walter Rowser Sr. and Walter Jr. 

Men’s department 

 

Sweating in the Spirit (Exercise)- Walter Rowser, Jr. 

Create and facilitate a workout troupe and help with strength, mobility, weight, etc. 

 

Veterans/Services- Lenell and Marlon Keller

Responsible for the care and assistance of those currently in the service or retired Communications Jonathan Slaughter & Shaniqua Responsible for bulletins, programs, flyers, etc. 

 

Sponsorships & Donors- Vanessa Calhoun 

Gathers potential corporate or non-profits sponsors, for events & missions. 

 

Sunday School- Louretta Calhoun, Superintendent of Curriculum 

Walter Rowser, Sr., Superintendent of Operations 

Ben Jackson, Treasurer Ellen Jackson, Secretary 

Responsible for the continued greatness of learning the word on Sundays.

Responsible for the curriculum selection and teaching approach used to cater to ALL students/educators/visitors.

 

Special Events (Chairpersons of Annual Days) Will Be Assigned by Pastor, before these events. These committees will lead the church in every special event and/ or program from its planning and its operation. Examples: Church Anniversary, Homecoming, Family & Friends Day, Etc.


Security (fire, flood, inclement weather, intruder, active gunman, overall well-being of any party) Church Body The overall security of the church will be based upon all leaders, and all members jointly. We will develop plans of action to be prepared for the current world perils. We don’t live in fear, but in faith, but FAITH means ACTION!!
